Customers are hereby informed that as from 01/01/2005 the use
of helmets by those under 14 years of age is obligatory, for
both skiing and snowboarding.
1.
RESPECT FOR OTHERS
– each skier must behave in a way that does not put anyone
else at risk or the cause of any damage.
2.
SPEED
CONTROL AND GOOD BEHAVIOUR –
each skier must keep
to a speed and method of good behaviour in keeping with
his/her capability as well as the weather conditions.
3.
CHOICE
OF DIRECTION
– as the skier is in a dominant position on the slopes, and
has the possibility of choice, the skier must avoid taking a
course which could bring about a collision with skiers down in
the valley.
4.
OVERTAKING –
can be done up on top as well as down in the valley, both on
the right or on the left, however always keeping a safe
distance to allow the skier which has been overtaken to have
ample movement.
5.
CROSSING AND CROSSROADS –
a skier which accesses
a slope or crosses a practice area, must be sure that, by
visual checks up the mountain or in the valley, it can be done
without causing danger to him/herself or others. The same
action must be applied after each stop.
6.
STOPS
– the skier
should avoid stops unless they are really necessary, on the
slopes, on the obligatory paths or in poor visibility. In the
situation that a skier falls, he/she must quickly leave the
path.
7.
ASCENT
TO THE SLOPES –
the skier should only
have access to the slopes via the means provided by the
installation and must not wander about in the event of poor
visibility. This same behaviour must be adopted by the skier
who descends on foot.
8.
RESPECT FOR THE SIGNS
– all skiers must
respect the signs along the slopes.
9.
IN THE
EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT
- emergency aid must be
given by anyone who is on the scene of an accident.
10.
IDENTIFICATION
– whoever has been
involved in an accident or is a witness to one must give
his/her generalities.
11.
MINIMUM SPACE ALLOWED FROM THE EDGE OF THE SLOPE FOR OVERTKING
– it is a
rule that a skier does not overtake on a curve, ample space
must be allowed for easy overtaking.
12.
TRAJECTORY –
attention must be paid to the trajectory taking into account
the skis, snowboard telemark and fun used.
